Description
Printing is the final step in the photography process and is too often ignored or neglected. Creating a print and holding your work in hand is an extremely satisfying process that will help to improve and hone your skill as a photographer.
This one day workshop will give you the skills and confidence to process and prepare your photographs to print at home or using an online lab. We will cover the entire printing process including paper choice, colour calibration, soft proofing, ICC profiles, printer settings and using Lightroom and Photoshop. Each participant will then have the opportunity to create multiple prints including a minimum of two large prints in A2 size.

Location
First Man Photography Studio, Leeds, West Yorkshire. The venue can be accessed via a train station within one mile or a short taxi ride from Leeds city centre. Parking is also available.
Exertion
Easy – This workshop takes place in the First Man Photography Studio. The studio is located up a large flight of stairs and unfortunately there is no lift or wheelchair access.
Requirements
No prior printing experience is required.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop or tablet but this is not essential. You will be required to bring processed images and Raw files and also a selection of your work or portfolio to discuss the best printing practices.
The Photographer
Adam Karnacz – Adam is the owner and operator of First Man Photography and the Raw Room. He is one of the world’s leading landscape photographers and photography educators. His passion and charisma have inspired countless people, from all over the world, to get off the couch and start creating beautiful photography. He is a very experienced trainer with a supportive and encouraging style. His enthusiasm and knowledge will give you the confidence and skills to create some amazing prints.
Safe Learning Environment
We are all striving to consistently learn and improve our photography. It should also be great fun. The workshop provides a friendly and supportive environment where you are free to experiment, make mistakes, learn and enjoy the process of printing to complete the photography process.
Duration
The course is a 1-day course and will run from 9.30am-3.30pm.
